Williamsburg and Greenpoint sit along the East River, across from Midtown and the Lower East Side. Old factories and warehouses here became event lofts, music venues and hotels, and many of them look straight back at the Manhattan skyline.
The mix covers most formats: a landmark bank hall with frescoed domes (Weylin), concert venues that book full buyouts (Brooklyn Steel, Warsaw, Brooklyn Bowl), skyline rooftops and event floors (74Wythe, VESPER) and the glass-domed penthouse on top of the Domino refinery (Skylight at The Refinery).
The L stops at Bedford Avenue, the J, M and Z at Marcy Avenue, the G runs through both neighborhoods, and NYC Ferry stops at North Williamsburg and Greenpoint. Many of the lofts here allow outside caterers, which gives more control over the budget than most Manhattan ballrooms.
Put subway and ferry directions in the invite. For events that end late, a shuttle back to Manhattan is worth pricing in.
Lofts like Dobbin St, Greenpoint Loft and 74Wythe let you bring your own caterer, so food and drink can be built around your budget.
Several venues sit near residential blocks. Check the curfew for rooftops and outdoor spaces before you plan an afterparty there.
Send us the date, headcount and format. We’ll come back with the rooms that fit and what the space will cost.
Get Matched Free →Among the rooms we list, space estimates start around $6,000 for a day in a Greenpoint loft and run past $100,000 for the Domino penthouse. Food, drink and production are extra, and we never add a booking fee.
For most downtown and Midtown guests it is one train or a ferry ride, often 20 to 30 minutes. Venues near Bedford Avenue and the ferry landings are the easiest.
Dobbin St, Greenpoint Loft, 74Wythe and Brooklyn Steel allow outside caterers. The hotel rooftops and Brooklyn Bowl use their own kitchens.
