A chef-owned Greenpoint restaurant at the foot of Greenpoint Avenue with a bar and back room that feel like a private house, sized right for a 60-seat dinner.
21 Greenpoint opened in 2012 at the end of Greenpoint Avenue, next to Transmitter Park and the East River waterfront. Chef and owner Homer Murray built out an art deco room with mismatched stained glass, exposed beams, an open kitchen and a bar shaped like the bow of a ship. A raised back room, the Tinsel Room, sits behind large glass transoms with white clapboard walls.
A full buyout seats 60 for dinner or takes 100 for a cocktail reception. A partial buyout of the dining room covers about 50 guests, and the Tinsel Room alone holds up to 28, which suits a smaller executive dinner. The house kitchen and bar handle everything, and the events team works with groups of 12 or more.
