A full rooftop on 36th Street with retractable roofs over both terraces, so a 450-guest reception can run in January with Empire State Building views and no tent rental.
Magic Hour sits on the 18th floor of the Moxy Times Square hotel at Seventh Avenue and 36th Street. It is about 10,000 sq ft split into an East Terrace facing the Empire State Building, a West Terrace built around a working carousel bar, and the Elephant Room, a small indoor lounge with its own bar. Both terraces have retractable roofs and glass sides, so the space stays open through the winter.
A full buyout holds 450 guests reception style, with three bars and a DJ booth in each area. The East Terrace alone takes 200, or 275 with the Elephant Room, and the West Terrace takes 140. TAO Group runs the rooftop and handles food, drink and event sales in house.

Closed roofs and three bars keep a 450-guest December party on the roof.
