A round, domed bank hall at Herald Square that books one event at a time, with a stained-glass skylight over the dance floor.
Gotham Hall is the former Greenwich Savings Bank on Broadway at 36th Street. The 9,000 sq ft ballroom is a neoclassical rotunda under a 70-foot ceiling, with a 3,000 sq ft stained-glass skylight set in gold-leaf detailing. A mezzanine, the Oak Room, a lounge and a green room surround it.
The venue runs one event at a time, so guests have the whole building. It holds up to 1,200 standing or 900 seated. The round floor plan puts every table close to a center stage, which works well for awards shows.
