Boom is the gold-lit 18th-floor room that has hosted Met Gala after-parties three years running, the default choice for a fashion or press party downtown.
The Standard straddles the High Line in the Meatpacking District. Its best-known room is Boom, an 18th-floor lounge finished in gold with tall windows on the skyline and a central bar. Le Bain, one floor up, is a rooftop club with a dance floor and a roof deck.
Boom holds about 300 standing and Le Bain with its roof about 225. The hotel also runs a High Line Room with a terrace, Garden Rooms, the Standard Biergarten for about 350, the Standard Grill and the Standard Plaza, so larger or split programs can stay on one property.

Boom has been the after-party room for fashion's biggest night.
