Photo: The Pierre, A Taj Hotel
A classic Fifth Avenue hotel ballroom across from Central Park that still hosts society galas, now with an LED wall built in for programs and awards.
The Pierre opened in 1930 at Fifth Avenue and 61st Street, facing Central Park, and is run today by Taj Hotels. Its event floor links the Grand Ballroom, the Cotillion Room, a pre-function foyer and smaller salons, with crystal chandeliers, pale paneling and a rotunda with a curved double staircase at its center.
The Grand Ballroom covers 5,155 sq ft under 19 ft ceilings and holds up to 750 for a reception, about 700 for dinner or 500 theater style. The Cotillion Room takes up to 500 more for a reception, and the foyer spaces handle cocktails and silent auctions before dinner. Catering, banquet service and AV are all in-house.

Dinner for up to 700 with a foyer for cocktails and auction tables.
