A private 1920s office inside Grand Central Terminal, so guests arrive by train or taxi and walk straight into a landmark room with its own bar.
The Campbell sits in the southwest corner of Grand Central Terminal, in the former office of financier John W. Campbell, who took the space in 1923. The main room is about 60 ft long under a 25 ft hand-painted ceiling, with a tall leaded window, a stone fireplace and a mezzanine balcony. Gerber Group reopened it as The Campbell in 2017 with a green quartzite bar, brass sconces and leather and mohair seating.
For private events the venue lists three areas: the Bar at 1,500 sq ft for up to 250 standing, the Palm Court lounge for about 50, and a covered terrace listed for 260. The Bar works best as a cocktail reception with passed food rather than a seated dinner. Because it sits inside the terminal, most guests can reach it without a car.

A fireplace, dark wood and a long bar suit a December reception.
