A landmark museum on Fifth Avenue facing Central Park's Conservatory Garden, where a gala can move from a lit rotunda to a second floor hall to two outdoor terraces in one night.
The museum occupies a red brick Georgian Colonial Revival building at the top of Museum Mile, at Fifth Avenue and 103rd Street. Guests come in through a columned front terrace into a round entry hall with a curved marble stair and the Starlight light sculpture, a field of hanging lights that fills the stairwell. Upstairs, the Marble Court runs across the front of the building with tall French doors facing the park.
For events the museum rents a set of connected spaces: the Fifth Avenue Terrace for up to 450 at a reception, the Rotunda for 250, the Marble Court for 250 standing or 210 seated, and the South Terrace, which can take a clear top tent. Together the building holds about 500 for a cocktail reception and about 250 seated when the tented terrace is used. A 200 seat hall with a stage and green room handles programs, and exhibition galleries can open for private viewings.

Rotunda arrival, Marble Court dinner and terrace cocktails in one building.
