A hotel rooftop on the Lower East Side with an indoor bar, two terraces and a pool, which lets a brand run a daytime or evening takeover with views across downtown.
Mr. Purple takes up the 15th floor of Hotel Indigo Lower East Side on Orchard Street. The indoor bar is about 3,000 sq ft of concrete floors, exposed ceiling, plum velvet banquettes and a long bar set against glass walls. Outside, a 5,000 sq ft terrace holds a pool and its own bar, and a smaller 750 sq ft terrace sits on the other side.
The indoor bar alone takes about 250 standing or 100 seated, and the full floor with both terraces reaches roughly 500 standing. The Gerber Group team runs food, bars and service. One floor down, The Club by Mr. Purple adds a disco-lit room with a 360 degree DJ booth for an after party.
Pool terrace and bar have hosted sponsored summer takeovers.
