Booking & Fees
Do you charge any booking fees?
Never. eventspaces.nyc is completely free to use. The price listed on each venue page is exactly what you pay, no service fees, no platform fees, no surprises. This is our core promise and what makes us different from other venue booking sites.
How do I book a venue?
Browse our directory and find a space you love. Click 'Check Availability' on the venue page and fill out the inquiry form with your event details. Our concierge team will contact you within 24 hours to confirm availability and connect you directly with the venue.
What is the minimum booking time?
All venues have a 4-hour minimum booking. This ensures venues can properly prepare for your event and you have adequate setup and breakdown time.
Can I negotiate pricing with venues?
In many cases, yes. Pricing shown is the standard rate. For weekday bookings, longer rentals, or off-peak dates, venues often have flexibility. Our concierge can help facilitate these conversations.
What payment methods do venues accept?
Payment terms vary by venue. Most accept bank transfer (ACH), credit card, or check. Our team will clarify payment terms when connecting you with the venue.
Venues & Spaces
How are venues selected for your directory?
Every venue is hand-picked and personally vetted by our team. We check that photos are accurate, pricing is transparent, the space is clean and well-maintained, and the venue is actually available for events. We do not accept pay-to-play listings.
What types of events can I book venues for?
Our venues host birthday parties, bachelorette parties, baby showers, bridal showers, graduation parties, holiday parties, cocktail parties, dinner parties, product launches, brand activations, pop-up events, networking events, corporate parties, and workshops.
Do venues provide catering?
It varies. Some venues have in-house catering, some are BYOC (bring your own caterer), and some have a preferred vendor list. Each venue listing notes its catering policy. Our concierge can help match you with a venue that fits your catering needs.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Alcohol policies vary by venue and event type. Many venues allow outside alcohol with a licensed bartender. Some require purchase through the venue. This is always noted in the venue details, ask our concierge if you have questions.
Are venues accessible?
We note ADA accessibility in each venue listing. If accessibility is important for your event, please mention this in your inquiry and we'll ensure the venue meets your needs.
Planning Your Event
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance for smaller gatherings, and 2–4 months for larger events (100+ guests) or peak dates like Fridays and Saturdays in fall/spring. Popular venues fill up fast.
Can I visit a venue before booking?
Yes, most venues offer site visits by appointment. We encourage this for larger events. Our concierge can schedule a walkthrough once you've identified a top choice.
What should I ask about when inquiring?
Good questions to ask: setup and breakdown time included in rental, parking situation, A/V equipment available, noise restrictions, vendor/catering policies, and whether a security deposit is required.
Do I need event insurance?
Many venues require proof of event liability insurance. One-day event insurance typically costs $75–$150 and can be purchased through providers like Wedsafe, Markel, or your personal insurance carrier. We recommend checking venue requirements when you book.
